Life(yeah right)....of an Engineering Student

Aggregate of 60% in ur board exams....you're doomed. You're sent to an Engineering college based on ur "Cut-off" which is completely stupid cuz it takes note of ONLY ur marks and nothing else. Scoring marks is easy my friend....cuz you only need to have Memory Power....who cares if you've really understood the concept?? As long as it's in the paper...you get "Marks"....which seem to be the only thing that people these days care about

So...you go through the "counselling" or if you're REALLY stupid....you pay lakhs of money and get into an Engineering colleges. You don't have to worry about the seats being filled up because there are PLENTY....trust me....PLENTY of Engineering colleges around Chennai. I mean...what are the outskirts of the city for?? Build up and Engineering college and start collecting Money. Some colleges only have name boards but that doesn't matter does it??

So...you get into an Engineering college. First day at college....what does COLLEGE actually reminds ppl of.?
Here are few things.....Bunking, jean pants, mobiles, girls & boys talking, proxy, cutting classes, HAVING FUN.....
Let me tell you....all the above mentioned things are STRICTLY PROHIBITED in Engineering colleges...if you still continue to do them....you'll be in for serious trouble...i mean pretty serious....
There wont even be a Police Station around for you to complain....

Basically Engineering Students are considered as Criminals, so the management actually HIRES ppl to have a look upon us. They're not even educated....their only aim is DISCIPLINE. I bet none of them can even spell discipline...
One interesting thing about Engineering college is your ID Card....you see....WHATEVER you do...if the teachers or "discipline" committee people don't like it....they take ur ID Card away from you. ID card in an Engineering college is like a license to walk around...if you're seen anywhere without it....you get into trouble all OVER the place..

Most of the Engineering colleges are placed so far awy from the city...that you HAVE to travel by the college bus. No freedom in travelling either....you get into your bus....get out at college....again get back in...you'll be brought back to your home. Wow....what an exciting trip everyday.

And the FOOD....OH MY GOD....could it be ANY better?? I think you get the idea about the food. If you eat the food at the Engineering college...you can practically live at any corner of the world.

Let me tell you how an average Engineering student spends 24 hours in a day. Getting up at 5:30AM...and gets back home by 5:30 PM. 12 hours gone....an human being(Engineering students aren't considered human beings but still) has to sleep minimum of 6 hours. So...in a remaining six hours...let's say eating and other stuff takes up around an hour. 5 Hours....how do they expect us to complete ALL The work they give us in 5 hours?? DOn't we have a life?? We're college students too....aren't we??

But none of the students care abt all this....All they want is a Degree and that's it!! Guess what students....these colleges are training you to be slaves for others in your future job. YOu'll never hav an back bone. Unless students rise up and let their voices heard....we'll be treated the same way....

We're students too....




P.S. After all this....i'm going to go to college on Monday like any other student. What difference is it gonna make??
